A COMMENT BY THE PATRIARCH
OF UZBEK LITERATURE

I have read the first of Otabek Teshabekov work about his adventures with an antique Persian carpet in the UK, the US and in the Arab Emirates with all my passion. It will be very interesting to know how it ends!
The writing style of the story is clear, brief and easy to read. In my opinion, his style is very similar to Charles Dickens.
I wish to my compatriot, Otabek - the author and the book’s main character, great success in the publishing of this book and a victory in court against Christie’s, the powerful and vast international auction house. I also would like to say that I am very proud of having participated in the Russian edition of this fascinating detective plot book.

A COMMENT OF WORLD-FAMOUS WRITER

The first of Otabek Teshabekov works “Christie’s Unmasked” is the thrilling story of a unique Persian carpet, dated from the 19th century.
It tells about the real struggle between the 30 years old beginner in antique business - Otabek Teshabekov, with only $300 in his pocket, and the prestigious British auction house: “Christie’s” with an annual income of several billions and 230 years of experience.
I also would like to emphasize Otabek’s trust in his own rightness, as well as his bravery. Otabek was not scared of publishing this book, exposing the fishy-eye deals of the actual auction system and getting involved in a dispute with Christie’s. Finally as a writer, I wish him good luck in his unequal fight for justice with the representatives of Christie’s!

COMMENT OF THE CHAMPION OF TELEVISION GAME
«SVOYA IGRA» (RUSSIA)

Otabek Teshabekov’s book carries a great deal of patriotism and optimism. During the whole narration, the author, being the protagonist of an autobiographical book, struggles for justice showing his courage and persistence, not giving up his goals in spite of difficulties and privations. He takes care of not only his own interest but also the reputation of the Uzbek people, often mistaken in the west. The author is also a devoted Muslim respecting other religious believers and regarding Christians as brothers without discrimination. The book includes quotations from the Holy Koran, the Bible and verses by Omar Khayyam and Alisher Navoi to illustrate and familiarize the reader with the wisdom and beauty of the East. Is not a secret that many young people use drugs and other substances to stimulate themselves in order to resolve the difficulties of life. Otabek proves through his book that a strong spirit is much stronger than any chemical support to face reality. Proceeding from the abobe, I believe that this book is going to be very useful to youth not only for its intriguing plot but also for the considerable educational component provided by the author.
